When we give our lives to Jesus Christ and commit to follow him, we embark on a life-long journey of knowing, loving and serving God. Journey 101 is a course designed to help guide us on this journey as we learn what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus. Regardless of where you are along your life pathway, Journey 101 will help you to deepen and enrich your spiritual walk and understand better what it means to be a Christian in the world today.
This 18-week study is divided into 3 parts: Knowing God, Loving God, and Serving God. There is no reading homework outside of class; all discussions are class-centered and revolve around a basic curriculum and 3 brief videos during each session. You will be asked to purchase a guide book which will allow for notetaking and personal reflection during the course. This course has been offered multiple times at Helotes Hills UMC and has been very popular with those who have enrolled.
Journey 101 runs periodically as needed and is one of the recommended first steps along the HHUMC Discipleship Pathway.
