Kids' Night Out

The second Friday night of each month, the HHUMC Nursery staff hosts Kids' Night Out from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. for kids from one month to fifth grade. What a perfect opportunity for mom and dad to have a dinner out! Cost is $10.00 per child.  Space is limited. Please RSVP by the previous Wednesday to Auriel at 210-902-9868 or call the church office at 210-695-3761.

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church Christian Day School

We are excited to announce the expansion of our weekday programs with the opening of our Day School this fall.  The HHUMC Christian Day School is a ministry of the church through which we create a positive and nurturing learning environment, where each child is encouraged to know that he or she is a unique gift from God.  In an atmosphere of love and acceptance, each child will be encouraged to grow and develop a positive self-image.  Children will be able to explore the greatness of God through hands-on opportunities which are child-centered and play based. Our preschoolers will be introduced to topics and develop skills based around themes as they work in classroom learning centers which support their need for independence and exploration.  Preschoolers will explore math concepts as outlined in the Count on Math program, participate in science experiments, cooking activities, and creative art on a regular basis.  Language development will be nurtured through the sharing of age-appropriate stories, the development of pre-writing skills, and language-play experiences.  Our preschoolers will attend chapel weekly and participate in daily prayer time in the classroom as their teachers share the love and grace of God with them each day.

The Day School will offer classes from 9:00 a.m. to noon for children who are two and one-half to five years old.  Parents may choose from a two-day class (Tuesday/Thursday) or a three-day class (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)

Registration dates are as follows: Families currently enrolled in the Preschool – Thursday, February 11th
Families currently enrolled in the Mother’s Day Out – Friday, February 12th
Church Members- Thursday, February 18th
Registration opens to the public on Monday, February 22nd
