This Sunday, August 17, we welcome Becky Harrell, a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries. She is currently serving as a mission interpreter for the South Central Jurisdiction. Her duties are to educate local churches, districts, and conferences on global missions and encourage participation in these areas. Becky has worked in Chili and Costa Rica and was hostess to our mission team last year. HHUMC has supported Becky's efforts for several years. A reception will be held after the service
On Sunday, August 10, we welcome Carol Lockett to the podium. Ms. Lockett has been the executive director of Chrysalis Ministries, Inc. for nearly eight years. Chrysalis Ministries, Inc. is an interfaith agency providing religious services, support groups, and educational classes to those in several detention and treatment facilities in the San Antonio and Karnes City area. Ms. Lockett has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and currently is a supervisor at three of the units as well as being Deputy Chief. Her father, Reverend Doctor Luster M. Lockett served as pastor at HHUMC in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
This Sunday we welcome Reverend Blair Thompson, who currently serves as the Managing Director of the Children's Bereavement Center. The center is based in San Antonio and uses art therapies to help grieving children with the death of a loved one.
Mark Mitchell will be serving as our guest speaker this Sunday, July 27, at 10:00 am.

We had 41 children at Weird Animals. We learned a lot about Jesus's love and we shared that love by raising $750 for the Operation Kid to Kid. With our help, 300 children in India will be getting clean water for a year!
