The Patch will be open weekends from 10 am to 8 pm beginning October 2 and weekdays noon to 8 pm until October 31. Crafts and snacks will also be sold on weekends. Come take pictures or have lunch and choose your perfect pumpkin. We will have various other events scheduled throughout the month.
Our pumpkins arrive from New Mexico on Saturday, October 1 at 8:00 am. If you would like to help in this fun and dirty endeavor arrive at 7:30 for breakfast. You may want to bring gloves. The Patch opens October 2 but all volunteers will be allowed to pick their special pumpkin after (during?) unloading. Service hours may be earned.
Helotes Hills UMC welcomes Rev. James Sweet and his wife, Rebecca to our community. Pastor Jim last served at the First United Methodist Church in Eldorado, TX. He has served in the Navy and is a graduate of UT Austin and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
On Sunday, May 22, we celebrate One Sunday as part of our Capital Fund Campaign with one service at 9:30 am. Bring your commitment card! There will not be Sunday School this day. Prepare a Place funds will be used to enlarge our fellowship and narthex areas and improve our sound system and parking lot. Join us for a free lunch at 11:00 am.

The next Life After Loss series of lessons will begin Sunday, April 3 at 3:30 pm. This five week class is designed to help people understand the process of grief, access where they are in the process and plan how they will continue to heal.
The Spirit Voices Choir will present Joel Raney's "We Remember You" on Good Friday, March 25 at 7:00 pm. This reflective music presentation recreates the emotional and spiritual aspects of the passion story with traditional and contemporary hymns, scripture readings and narration. Come experience Christ last days and His journey to the cross through the power of music.
Helotes Hills UMC will host a prayer vigil beginning Friday, March 4 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, March 5 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. You may move through several stations in the Sanctuary following a guide containing meditations, prayers, and actions or you may stay seated in a pew. This time is our gift to you to lean on Jesus and rest. Come pray for yourself, your community, your country, and all the nations of this world.
Beginning on Tuesday, February 16, Helotes Hills UMC will begin with a simple supper at 6:00 pm and then gather to study a book by Adam Hamilton titled, “John- The Gospel of Light and Life”. Sign up now on the clipboard in the church entryway or call the church office to participate in this study. This study will run for five weeks and is open to non-members.
Helotes Hills UMC is hosting a CPR/First Aid Class on February 27, 2016 at 9:00 am in the PARC building. The class is open to the community for a fee of $45.($40 If 10 or more persons attend) Class size is limited to 20. Please call or email the office to sign up.
